@hnh4 Umm, maybe you should get a clue what you're talking about before insulting a band that were around more than a decade before a bunch of Norwegians that took their name. Less than a minute on Google will tell anyone if the name they've chosen for their band is taken or not. These Norwegians either can't use a search engine or just couldn't fucking care that they're stealing another bands name. Either way they have no excuse.

Guys. This Obliteration was from Oklahoma. They were Christian death metal. The singer left and the band changed their name to Death List. Unfortunately they broke up in 1999. Very sad considering their demo is one of the heaviest albums I have ever listened to.

I listened to it a bit more, and it's not as terrible as I made it out to be earlier, but it's certainly not groundbreaking. Granted, it's probably the best DM Norway has had in a good while. It just.. doesn't impress me the same way Revolting, or Graveless do. And besides that, as much as I respect Fenriz, I don't let him decide who I like and who I don't.

Nothing about this Obliteration sounds like Deathcore, you need to get your hearing checked - it's pure death metal destruction.

Funny Kataxu. I was at Obliterations release concert last night. Fucking brutal. And fenriz from Darkthrone got up on stage and siad its the best Norwegian DM album ever. Boring eh? I think its fantastic.

Emo core? Hahahahaha. Dude, that doesn't make any sense. Norwegian Obliteration sounds like a Swedish DM band that can't come up with any good riffs, and their singer sucks. This song here was at least catchy, not at all "emo core", unlike your Obliteration, who couldn't write an interesting song to save their lives.

Well for one thing, as I said in the info section of this page, this Obliteration changed their name in 1997 to "Death List". Death List has since broken up, as well. Either way... this Obliteration was MUCH better than the Norway band. I recently listened to "Nekropsalms" and it's REALLY boring.

I'm not really a fan of Black/Death metal. =/ The closest I could think of is Atheist, Summon, Skeletonwitch (they have some DM sounding songs)....but yeah like I said.. it's not my genre.
