I just saw some of the comments and was about to chew that guy out for dissing a great music genre with many different sub genres and form aka "not just screaming" but I'll give him a history lesson instead....you know that the closest genre musically to metal is classical right? because musically they are the most complicated and difficult to perform. Well besides that this so called "noise" is good for expressing all kinds of emotions....power metal and classic metal is good for having a rowdy fun time with a bunch of friends and or if you want to listen to something epic or melodic. Not to mention some of the most talented vocalists are found in that genre. Thrash and death metal are more for the angrier emotions but they are NOT for being and disturbed or pissed off or crazy or whatever term you want to label metal fans. It's for letting out those a emotions. A form of expression. Some would go as far to say it's calming for some people. You know "what works for me might not work for you and vice versa" and slow doom metal would be for the more relaxed type of person who wants to just get lost in the music. so bottom line....before you judge look into music genres first and don't just categorize a whole culture into your little box. Disregarding the age of your comment. Metal vocals are by no means an attempt to sing. They are more accurately, a distortion applied to the voice which requires alot of control, practice and patience to learn and master. Not being able to comprehend something just goes to show that you're not willing to listen to the music so why even bother clicking on the playlist? By clicking on it this show you have lesser intelligence too cause you're expecting something than what is written.
