OV WRIGHT....The brother was ELECTRIFYING. I knew he was good as a young teenager, but I didn't know that he was making history. He lived such a short life, but he did so much musically.I was back in Louisiana listening to the am radio late at night. WLAC out of Gallatin Tennessee. Anyone else remember the Randy Record Show, where you could buy these songs on 45's? Hoss Man Bill Allen was the D.J., and he was a white man, but he played the soul music made by black musicians of the day. I used to strain to hear the show on my little 6 transistor radio only at night when the station would come in. The signal would fade in and out, but I listened all night like that. What memories.

My I am sitting here at almost 51 years old holding my first grandchild and this song came spewing out of my mouth as I remembered my grandma singing it to me...I only remembered the chorus and actually that's all I needed to sing to my newborn 31 days old grandson DW.
