Twilight is not a bad book, its okay but it's a weird transition before Twilight we had The Lost Boys, Fright Night and Anne Rices books. Before vampire's were undead monsters who sucked blood in order to survive now vampires make " ideal boyfriends " WTF if it were more of a gothic romance I could understand. But just hate the way how Stephanie Meyer re-created the world of vampires when it didn't need to be re-created and was perfect the way how it was.

The impression I got from Dracula was that a vampire wouldn't necessarily die in sunlight, but just lose his powers until nightfall. Unless the sun has to actually touch their skin, in which case, the vampires can take measures to prevent that.
