The RCA TK-60 with its big 4.5 inch image orthicon tube was an excellent unit in its day and had no trouble at all meeting Australian TV broadcasting standards. Centre resolution was 700 lines minimum. TNT-9 and ATV-0 later had RCA TK-45A colour cameras, which gave good service for over 20 years in both cases, outliving the company that made them.

Australia actually imported cameras from all corners of the globe and that camera at 0:58 indeed is a RCA TK-60. Stations like ATV-0, QTQ-9, CTC-7, CBN-8, TNT-9, NBN-3, BTV-6 WIN-4 etc. used RCA cameras and TK-60s were a popular choice for B&W. The rest of the stations mostly used either Marconi or PYE cameras and some stations used the German Fernseh cameras during the B&W era.

I think you'll find the cameras used in Oz in the 50's and 60's were PYE's from England, not american RCA's. We were very British back then, and our television technical standards (625 lines) were more closely aligned with the mother country than the USA's (525 lines)

I don't think this particular performance was on Bandstand. I think it was the "Go!!" show which followed Bandstand in later years, with Johnny Young as the host.
