I was just listening to the last speech from MLK when he talks about "the promised land". If you go to this link, you can hear the speech while listening to the song. MLK says "I just want to do God's will" at 1:59 to "We as a people will get to the promised land" which ends at 2:28, works perfectly before the first line of the song, "When I die and they lay me to rest..." It's really powerful and putting it into this context is almost overwhelming...

Can you extend the intro another 32 bars and overdub a detuned spoken word part over it; perhaps the "I Have A Dream" speech from Martin Luther King? Mixing dark and light together; a very hot version!

This is awesome! This is so gritty and so dirty, a real pole dancing favorite. Great job! The original is a great radio friendly version but this one is the one I would play in the club! :)
