Actually bought tickets a long time ago to one of George's shows got my money back but missed a damn good show,man came out and said "get your refunds at the ticket line sorry folks but old no show jones came in place of George." I was pissed but got to see him later in life. R.I.P. George one of the best,tying with Merle

@beautifulsarah100 I saw George a few years ago at a Carnegie Hall concert in New York and during one number said to my wife, "Isn't he great!" George's wife, Nancy, was sitting right in front of me--I hadn't noticed it at first--and turned around and smiled! George kindly autographed a photo and a quotation of his that I mailed to his home in Tennessee and sent it back to me. A class act!
