I stumbled upon this accidentally, intending to listen to the original. Well done! I love your interpretation of the track, great arrangement for guitar and vocals. You manage to be sincere to the original feel, keeping some of the grimy, directness in your delivery of the lyrics. At the same time, you juxtapose the 'hardness' of the track with your beautiful voice. It's like a siren's call, lovely and alluring, yet ready to end you when you step over the line. This juxtaposition is a step to making the track your own, rather than a rather straight up acoustic cover. All and all, I figure it is not an easy task to pull off a cover of a grime track. To do it so well, well... Respect!I know this is an old upload but one suggestion/idea: Were you to ever go back to this again, or play it live, it might be fun to change up some of the lyrics, make it more personal. From JME to N N B or Nina N, gal/girl will draw for the haddak duken, bad/rude girl remix... me or (a friend & artist you respect), "last cd(or track), Peroxide" (or any of your tracks), etc.Anyways, keep it up. I am now inspired to look through your other videos. Hope they are as great as this one. Ps. if anyone knows other covers of grime/hiphop that are on a similar level to this one, please send them my way. Only one that comes to mind is 99 problems by Hugo.
