I know Anette is criticized a lot and I was one of the people criticizing her over her vocals on Dark Passion Play but she was perfect for this album. Tarja could have never pulled this off, it just called for way too much vocal dynamics. Still, with the exception of Wish I Had An Angel, all of my favorite Nightwish songs were written while they still had Anette, so I was pretty upset when she was replaced with Floor. I do have to say though, Floor is infinitely better live than Anette and even (dare I say) Tarja so she grew on me pretty quickly. I have "High Hopes" (hahaha) for the new album. The writing is certainly getting better with every new one :)
