I was a young kid when this came out, and even back then I liked the melody (didn't understand the words LOL). Fast forward 35-some-odd years to a couple days ago after having completely forgotten about this song, and the chorus popped into my head. I wasn't sure of the title and had no clue who sang it (was guessing maybe Carly Simon), and found it and her life story on Google. Seems like such a bitter sweet tragedy the way she died, and young at 45, when she passed away and she seemed like she was a kind soul. Now this song is hauntingly beautiful to me and I've listened to it like 50 times in the past 48 hours thinking about her and what her life might have been like.

To me, Nicolette Larson was (and in my world is) the most beautiful woman in the world! I had a "teenage crush" on her when I was 15, when she released the single "Lotta Love". She passed away in 1997. She was 12 years older than me. I'm in my 50s now, still have a crush on her that won't go away. Wished I could have met her.

I had a teenage crush on Nicolette back when I was 15. I'm now in my 50s, married, and still have a crush on Nicolette Larson. I bet Frankie Crocker "The Chief Rocker" played this song on 107.5 WBLS in NYC. Cool Disco Song! I miss her very much! We'll, all I can do is dream about her, since I can't hold her.
