Even at 47, the age she was when this interview took place, she had a lovely vulnerability about her and a charming shyness. I interpreted her comment about not wanting fans like the kind Neil Diamond had as her way of saying that she could never be an arena performer, like he was at the time, or play Vegas. I think she was stating that she wasn't an "entertainer" but a poetress who's aim it was to connect with her audience intimately and as individuals. Such a shame she died so young (I'm 47 also).

I agree Veran Paolini Her music is so damn good that it's so addicting her 5 and 6 album sounded so different compared to her previous 4 albums like there so up beat it sounds so good. Love all of her Fantastic Albums.
