This hits home every time I listen to it. Music like this I will carry for the rest of my life.This song brings me to a dark state of nostalgia, probably one of the most private pieces of music to me. I don't think I've ever had such an emotional reaction to a piece of music. This sounds like he's pouring his feelings into it and the fingerpicking is more organic than the album version. The vulnerabilities, the pauses, the not-quite-finished words...This made me feel like I do when I hear Don McLean's songs. It's a privilege to have such lyrics and such music, to be able to hear them whenever we want and relate to them,.It pushes us a little outside of ourselves. We should be grateful for that and for having Nick Drake's music.
