I adore this stripped-down version. You can hear all the subtle nuances in his voice and his playing. You can even hear him taking breaths. Amazing.

Wow, isolating the vocal and guitar tracks really reveals a lot of the nuance. The way you hear him taking breaths in between phrases is pretty intimate.
