hello, I know what you mean, and I was born in england in 50s. I wish it had been 2 years earlier, then I could have seen early pink floyd and underground psychedelic stuff more, but saw jimi hendrix, cream, doors, etc. nick drake was so instantly recognisable to me, a kind of deja vue feeling when I heard him at an all night concert in 1969. as Ive said elsewhere, quiet but very good, a kind of indefinable mystique that has been increasingly recognised. Iwould recommend kings of convenience too

hello, yes, from what I know he became increasingly withdrawn and disillusioned with performing live by the early 70s. I saw him in september 1969 at festival hall london, supporting fairport convention, and he was quiet but very good, as you can imagine.
