"Originally from North Wales, Nia is a young folk/blues singer-songwriter based in London, England. She is heavily influenced from an eclectic variety of music particularly from the 1950s-70s such as the likes of Bob Dylan, Tom Waits and Billie Holiday. Nia prefers to write songs pertaining to a story-telling nature and for the past 5 years, the singer-songwriter has been writing and performing all around the UK and moved to London in September 2011."

On April 29th 2013 Nia released her new EP 'Doctor Doctor' with a show at the Old Queen's Head in Islington. The night started with two beautiful performances from L.A. Salami and Sophie Jamieson, then Nia opened her set with this song, Black Woman.
