I like Katherine a lot more than Sarah and Denton from the movie combined. I think that combining the reporter character and Jack's love interest into one character really works, and she holds her own as an interesting character without Jack as well. And Katherine being Pulitzer's daughter was a true stroke of genius and just the plot twist that was needed in that place in the story. I don't get why people don't like her. Did people even like Sarah from the movie?

People are getting way too upset about this musical being changed from the movie. I saw it on Broadway and it was fantastic. The most enjoyable show I've seen. Everybody needs to calm down a little bit.

I fully agree. For one thing, her voice does not blend at all with the male voices in the song, in fact I would say it is actually over powering. The problem though is that all the guys are singing about being the King of New York and she is singing about that too. I mean come on, at least have her say, or the guys when referring to her, as the Queen on New York. Personally, I thought it was a silly decision to shoehorn a romantic story into this. The one in the movie would have worked well here

I liked when Spot wanted a bath tub and not a sandwich. Also, I miss "Brooklyn to Trenton, our man Denton" but the pig Latin is a nice touch. I don't know why they put in Katherine, not every story needs a love interest. The character seems kind of forced or just kind of tossed in. I didn't like Sarah in the original because she didn't pull her own weight and was kind of a priss. I don't get the same vibe from Katherine, but I still feel like her character should be developed better.

1. I hate they've changed the lyrics on the songs for this and should've stuck to the original lyrics from the movie and 2. I hate that it's a woman in Bill Pulman's character.
