I need help. In 3rd grade I had to sing this one song for a play. And it was a pretty good song. But I can't remember the lyrics or the tune. All I remember is that it's about some grandfather and paintings. I think. We also sung this song like within the same time as the one I need to find.

Mr. Johnson, though I am one of those Americans, I protest vehemently. To sing a song to its truest beauty; it does not matter as much whether or not the accent is correct if the language of the lyrics is the same. What matters most is the "harmony"! They obviously work well together! The only word that grates on my own ears and nerves is when they pronounce Ye, for it is a little too blunt; they need to soften it...Otherwise they did a BEAUTIFUL job....

Saw these guys live, they helped my choir out with a barbershop festival. We sang with them

Oh you Americans need to learn how to pronounce things in British English, or particularly for the one the Scottish variant of British. You can't sing a beautiful folk tune like this in a American accent. It's sacrilege! :P

Oh! ye'll take the high road and I'll take the low road, And I'll be in Scotland afore ye; But me and my true love Will never meet again On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.

Was this done at The College of Wooster? They are the Fighting Scots and they have adopted the Macleod dress tartan which is Black and Old Gold, the same colors the boys are wearin? Great job by the way boys

Ahmmm music's not about different cultures & stuff. Music's about emotions, feelings, & the heart. But glad it moved you.

I've heard better renditions, ones not as "scoopy" in the melodies

As an old Scottish grump, I must inform you that I am adding this to my mcfavourites. Normally I would dismiss the verrrry thought of Americans ...(you get it).. Well done lads, it made an old man nearly happy.

@chrislw1000 Granted there were some flat notes sung, i thought it was a very musical interpretation of the song, and would disagree with you that it sounded thin, i thought they were ringing some pretty good chords. As far as pronunciation goes, they wouldn't be the first group to use non-traditional Scottish vowels, i think you're being a little over-critical

They are pitchy, their harmonies do not line up mathematically, their interpretation of the Scottish vocals are terrible, their vocals in general are very thin sounding, and they do not have rhythm to save their butts.
