Cool. Thanks for the info. That all does make a big difference. I do think that bands like N.O., Duran Duran, Cure and DM are relying too much on formulas. They just wanna get something out there so that they have an excuse to go on a tour and rake in the millions. It's no longer about making a ground breaking hit and that's a bit sad. I guess that's how the game's played.

Understand that this material was all recorded during the "waiting for the sirens... " sessions but was shelved and was originally intended to be released shortly after as a sort of bonus EP. BUT that was when the band essentially broke up and Peter Hook held the release of these songs up due to rights issues for awhile. So this music shouldn't sound ground breaking. It should sound like songs that were cut from the last New Order album... because that is exactly what it is.

these are six new songs that sound wonderful in 2013 , though written in 2005. greatness in every song , every time . bernard said long ago "if anyone can listen , then anyone can write a song" . i hope they keep writing songs. i will listen
