Because Metal's primary focus has always been to be/find the most extreme _____. Anything that doesn't surpass what has already been done will eventually become obsolete. This song is awesome and I love it, but in 10 years from now I will still be talking about Obscura as the most forward-thinking album to ever be released, not those who tried to emulate it.
