There's rhythm to it and the band seem to be able to repeat sections of the music with enough accuracy to convince me that there's some degree of composition involved in the process. How is this not music? Because it doesn't have any blatant, straightforward melodies?

Melody is often barely discernible in most "normal" brutal death metal bands anyway. These guys are just taking the next logical step; music based on sound textures rather than actual notes.
