This is the rare stereo version of Neil Diamond's Kentucky Woman from the 1978 Frog King/Columbia House LP "Early Classics." This was a hit for Neil back in 1967 on the Bang Records label and it peaked at #22 on the charts. Copyright 1967 Sony Music Entertainment and Neil Diamond

Sounds good! First time hearing it. I'm more familiar with the Deep Purple cover, which is also good, but different.

Dis is very upbeat, but I guess I love the "sad" version more by Mark Kozelek / Sun Kil Moon. Guess when I'm in a better mood, this would sound better. Anyway, thanks for the upload!

That version is on the Classics: The Early Years CD.

if anyone owns this, and has the means, can you upload somewhere Shilo? Apparently, it has a instrumental fade at the end that never been heard anywhere else.

1966-72 era (Bang & UNI) Neil Diamond is his best work, IMHO - better than his later Columbia releases. All spanning a career that has lasted as long as I've been alive (45 years in totality). Congratulations on your R&RHoF nomination, Neil! Bravo, Neil Leslie Diamond!

Thanks for posting this. It is true stereo. I believe all the songs on this album are stereo with the exception of 'Do It'.

I've done a mix of this a few years back with the vocal left, which balances it out better so it's not so much "lop-sided" stereo. Cherry Cherry is in stereo on most Greatest Hits Bang LP's & a couple of import CD's. No US ones as of today yet.

In fact, Cherry Cherry does exist in stereo.
