Another overlooked, underrated songs from Todd Rundgren's supergroup Nazz! Far-out, man! LOL

@LPE. l love this entire album. But don't be putting down Ringo to make a point. It cheapens your statement. His 'candle' was as big and bright as anyone's.

@matt00000000000001 Sure the album cover has a "Meet the Beatles" theme.A lot of bands were influenced by them at that time. But listen to the amazing Keith Moon style drumming, also in "Forget All About It" and "Under The Ice".Ringo was good, but he couldn't hold a candle to Thom Mooney,Keith,or a lot of the emerging British drummers of the late 60s.Even the Townsend-like guitar experiment in the middle section speaks of The Who. But in the end,it's still The Nazz. And as you say, awesome.

Terrific band. After The Who these guys were my favorites.

Because I have never heard of Nazz and that fact that I was born on the heels of the 60s and the added fact that I some tunes from the famous The Who, it's changing my perspective about 60s music. I like Nazz a whole lot.

I have known "Open My Eyes" and their original version of "Hello It's Me" for decades. I have slowly gotten into their other songs and they are superb. Thanks for posting!

the on-mike coughing at .30 seconds was just plain tardy.

That was "The Nazz" while Todd's band was simply "Nazz". They (Alice Copper's band) changed their name when they learned that Nazz already existed.

When I was in college I wore this LP out. SO cool My favourite NAZZ song! Of course I became a pilot and now have my own plane!!!

It also is a very early attempt by Todd at using phasing and such to achieve a kind of a feeling of "movement". Like a plane swooping around. Later he played with stuff like that on Something/Anything...such as in 'Night the Carousel Burned Down'

Yes, a very Who-like tribute ala 'Jaguar' and 'I Can See For Miles'. One of my favorite songs.
