That was a common thing during the 70s. Her similar sound to Aretha was a constant comparison and the media created a "feud" between the two divas. Natalie and Aretha said there was no feud. It was a major irritation of Natalie's that they continued to hype that. @daToinado Why are people so thoughtless? Do you actually expect singers to ALWAYS have perfect pitch - concert after concert after concert? They aren't machines. The very best lose a certain amount of power after thousands of live performances. Find a live version where she sounds just the way YOU like. But, anyway - she sounds alright on here. It's not as bad as your description. Sheesh!
