Haha! Indeed! He is one of the very best singers/pianist ever! And his rock n roll numbers really get me bopping! Seeing as thats my personal genre :) Hope ya liked "Do I like it" by him. charted very highly in the R&B charts ;)

for five years I still can't detox myself from this Spectacular song. Instead I have contaminated many people with these soothing words and groovy lyrics. Nat lives for ever. He must have been a Suten Ra i when Nubia/Kemet ruled. . Then he sent us James Brown, Frank Sinatra, Little Richard, Elvis, John Lennon and the King of Kings Michael Jackson.And last me to enjoy it all.

Do I like it- Nat King Cole- Is another one of his few rock n roll songs, look hard enough ya cant begin to believe the gems you can find of Nat King Cole! :)

You make a good point! Of all the Nat King Cole tunes I've listened to over the years this is the only one with a "rock n roll" beat to it. But I REALLY love it; I think it's right up his alley! But he had his roots in jazz so I can understand his point of view. Thanks for your comment! :-)

Heavens to Nathaniel Cole! A world of thanks for uploading this rockin' tune by the late great Nat! He's my all time fave male vocalist...and this is one my fave songs of his! If he'd been any cooler, he'd have been frozen! Strictly from wowsville, daddy-o! You've MADE my day & my week! CHEERS, mate! :-)

This was Capitol Records trying to cash in as rock and roll began to fill the charts and ballad singers were feeling the pinch. His daughter Natalie said in a TV tribute after his death that he didn't really enjoy having to sing these songs. He also wasn't very keen on making the album of 'sing along' songs which included Goodnight Irene, When You're Smiling, etc. Although 'Rambling Rose' from this album was a big hit for him.
