I really feel this is Nas' best song. Love this beat too.

Son summed up his entire life and career in 4 minutes in the most vivid detail. Only a few others could do this. The average rapper couldn't do this over a full length album.

The Lost Tapes is Nas best album after illmatic. I've actually listened to the lost tapes more times in the last ten years than all other albums combined. It presents the best version of Nas. No marquee producers, no guest verses, no attempts at radio play, only the best storytelling. Unbelievably slept on. He'll never top the lost tapes.

I have. In fact, I held Nas in higher regard back when the only album i heard was illmatic. Look at artists like The Roots. Sure, they probably haven't dropped an album like illmatic, but they have been great from start to finish. None of this "summer on smash" bullshit.

Nas is not the greatest ever (one of them) but he is the most underrated rapper of all time

Not his last album though. life is straight up garbage when compared to even a compilation like Lost tapes.
