Dirty Rotton Punk + Metal = Thrash. then you got thrash metal, thrash punk, crossover to me is when you started out hard core punk and then fuse in metal to it but keep the songs short like punk lots of thrash metal is way too damn long, 3-6 minuits, fuck no, keep em short and thrashy. @jacksonkvx personally thrash is my fav genre old and new dont matter if its the waste metallica overkill tankard or Rumpelstiltskin Grinder i personally also love thrash there metalcore with thrash influence not real thrash but idont thin kthey suck there a solid live band but when i saw waste it was something elseh ah stage dives bro

@Extermanter Thanks for the education - I'd never heard of DRI - my quiet village in Hampshire was never a hot bed for 80s thrash. I shall endeavor to catch them if they head over the pond in 2010 (tour planned for late summer, I believe).
