A truly brilliant true song about American Soldiers during the Vietnam war who impregnated women during conflict, the term "Dust", meaning it meant nothing at the time, like "Discarding dust from one's clothes", something we don't think about at the time, only years later a lot of these children wanted to know who their father was, be he Dead or alive. Fantastic, and of course sung with great passion by the faultless Mr Page.

.....This is a thinking man's R&R band....& that's why they never got as big as a Rolling Stones or Michael Jackson....At the time this record was released I remember seeing a segment of "Frontline" that dealt with this songs subject matter & it was very moving....& still is. Richard Page is one of my favorite all time singer-song writers.

"Lower than the dust" that is what they called children who had Vietnamese mothers and American fathers. Pariahs in Vietnam these children lived on the streets hated because hey had the face of the enemy.

whats to say about these guys? well one things is for sure out of all the bands that ever walked this planet mr.mister is one of the best there was,and they never got the support and understanding they should have had!! such a shame!! go on.....was my fav album by mr.mister.. there is not an artist these days that can make an album like this there for the music industrie is dead!! long live MR.MISTER!!!!

Always thought that "Go On" was by far their best album! Granted, I loved "Welcome to the real World" but this album surpassed it! I really miss these guys, brings back good memories when I used to sit down and listen over and over to this album. If someone could PLEASE upload "Man of a Thousand Dances" it would much be appreciated! Could you do that for me DDD? Thanks.... Serenade!

I bought Go On in 1987, its year of release. Although this album is way better than Welcome to the real world, it never sold a copy in Holland.

While serving in the Peace Corps in Ecuador I was given a taped copy of this album along with about 20 other albums. One night, in my tiny cabin, I finally popped it into my boombox. This song happened to be cued up. From those first haunting notes I was hooked. For some reason I thought of that moment tonight. You just allowed me to fully return to that place and time. It was truly a gift. Thanks so much for posting this!!
