I don't know how old some of you are, but I was here when this song was released..back in 67 (68?) You young folks wouldn't recognize freedom because you've never experienced it!!!!!!!! And he is absolutely correct when he says that the song is even more relevant now than it was then.

If only more folks would pay attention to the words... Instead of sucking down beer and big macs, instead of playing x-box and watching youtube, we need to be out protesting, holding sit-ins, taking over parks & setting up semi-permanent tent cities... He told us the story of writting it waay back in '69,with acoustic guitar & three doobs,wrote lyrics in a few hours,then had the rest of the band write music around Monster/Suicide/America trilogy.
