I cannot comprehend how so many people who are fans of Modest Mouse hated this music video so much. It is abstract art. The beauty and genius of the music they create lay in the very same element of obscure, abstract, and metaphorical representations of the emotions and experiences of life. Sometimes these are tangible ideas that are easy to realize. Other times they are ambiguous matters that we can only know by feeling them. The video uses the same freedom of subjective interpretation that their very unique sound and endearing lyrics use. Open your mind, people, and step outside of the box of conventional aesthetic value. One of the greatest bands of all time.

Unreal song. Train wreck of a video. I rather look at the skin of a taxadermied fox, or satellite for the entire 4 minutes plus. The visual representation entirely ruins the song, and its connection to the listener.
