As a vibraphonist, myself, there is just never enough times when I am in complete awe, of the late, Milt Jackson. This man, had so much talent and mastery of this instrument. And yet, his playing always had more of a "bluesy'" edge to it. But, he could play everything. All genres or music. And, I did not find out (until just before his death), that he was a regular customer of one of my Cousins (David House) who was his long-time barber, up in Harlem. I just happened to be in David's neighborhood, stopped in to his shop to say hello. And, out of the restroom (as I'm looking at Milt's photo on the wall) comes Milt Jackson. Boy, was I thrilled to have those few moments, to talk with him and his wife.
