Mike + The Mechanics est un groupe pop rock britannique fondé en 1985 comme un side-projet de Mike Rutherford, un membre fondateur de Genesis. Il est connu pour ses hits Another cup of cofee, Silent Running, All I Need Is A Miracle, Taken In, The Living Years, Word Of Mouth & Over My Shoulder.
Le groupe comprenait au départ Paul Carrack, feu Paul Young (celui de Sad Café, à ne pas confondre avec le chanteur solo Paul Young qui a enregistré avec Zucchero), le claviériste Adrian Lee et le batteur et percussionniste Peter Van Hooke ex musicien de Van Morrison.
Après la disparition de Paul Young (mort d'une crise cardiaque le 15 juillet 2000), le groupe s'est reformé en 2004 sous le nom Mike + the Mechanics + Paul Carrack. L'album Rewired fut suivi d'une tournée en première partie de Phil Collins.
Mike + The Mechanics revient en 2011 avec deux nouveaux chanteurs, Andrew Roachford et Tim Howar, ainsi qu'un nouvel album The Road, prévu pour avril.

Sorry!!!! Doesn't work for me!!!! No, no,NOOOOOO!!!! Sounds like almost a parody of the original... I dont't like these new guys at all...!!! each version i've heard from them is reeeeeally not good , sometimes even pathetic... I can´t undestand how some people can say that they are good,...amazing??? ( whaaaat???!!!!) and can replace the "Pauls"... it's a matter of taste I guess, but if you were/ are a real fan of M+M and have good ears cannot like this. With all due respect , maybe they're good singers, but they're nothing special ( even their presence on the stage) Paul Carrak and ABOVE ALL Paul Young were EXCEPTIONAL singers!!! AMAZINGS!! It's good , I love roach ford , I can't believe he / they were not a bigger success.carrack owned this song , as someone else said , I think even mike has said , that when they were auditioning for the songs they had written , Paul carrack sang this and it was perfect , and then Paul young sang miracle, and he said, lets have them both10 years назад
