I'm pretty sure the bar he's referring to in the intro is the Carolina Sports Bar. During Sleazefest it was referred to as "the Sleaze Lounge". Bands would alternate between there and the Local 506 during Sleazefest. Most likely, the year was 2000 as that's when the Truckers debuted Southern Rock Opera at Sleazefest, though it could have been earlier. I saw them at the Local 506 and the Carolina Sports Bar in early 2000 for Honky Tonk Arama. The back cover photo from AAW was shot there.
