Without a doubt, one of my favorite songwriters on the planet is Michael Stanley. I always find myself right in the middle of a scene from my life, or feeling a moment in time that I a can relate to when I listen to his lyrics. It always surprises me that more people don't know about his gift of lyrics, music, melody and passion when it comes to a song. Every time he releases a new album it has been a celebration for my house. I always wonder what Mr. Stanley is going to say as he bares his soul on the new record. THE RIDE is NO exception.. Lots of great new songs, but for the moment this one is killing me! I would like to say Michael has outdone himself with this one, but he always lays out his best in his music.. His band is always phenomenal, and the sax work on this is outstanding.. I am sorry I didn't take the time to do a really nice video to go with the song, but sitting here listening to this, I had to share it! The album has lots of rockers and great ballads like this one..
