This is a phenomenal song. I like it more each time I listen to it. It's got some of the guilty saccharine pleasure of a cheesy one-hit wonder - and we all have our guilty 80's pleasures. You're lying if you deny it. There's something deeper there though - a dark edge in the verses, and a chorus that bleeds raw melancholy and hard-won realization. It's achingly beautiful. Puts a lump in my throat. This is a special track. Thank you Metric. I've always been a fan, look forward to seeing it live sometime.
