This particular cut of music is not inspiring at all. There is no landscape to look at... nothing is happening here. Three musicians are being polite to Metheny, who brought the first 3:50 minutes to a simplistic / sample-istic fragment of the whole. Not much can be done (!) - Hancock goes "invisible" or mindlessly silent. Picks it up at some time, but it is a game of a code-rhythmic fill... Then (@ 3:50 until 6:10) Pat draws his hands to good old times where his music used to be nothing but a delightful hypnotic poetry. Soon, however, he decides to seal the piece with the same "overpowering pattern" still rambling in the sampler...
