This song is the central spoke of this album. The other songs don't revolve around it in a perfect circle; they wobble in and out of it's irregular pull, like a mother that rejects and accepts you in the same sentence. The rooms of the House are revealed in the other songs like the corners of a tortured mind: demons that rise up (Until It Sleeps), hopes of putting them down (Hero of the Day), and the tortured realization that what you clawed and fought for becomes your own undoing (King Nothing). This album is totally underrated especially among the fans of early Metallica. Yes, this is mostly alternative rock like AIC but this is like a new stage of Metallica, like something less emotional but more musical, more "adult-oriented". This song is absolutely tremendous, one of my favourites even now, after 19 years of listening. I bought Load just the next day of its release in the summer of 1996 and I still enjoy it very much. Metallica is definitely the most influencing and meaningful band in my life.9 years назад
