Honestly, Lars may not be the best drummer, but his style and energy live are what make him great. Being an angsty teenager in Jr. High in 2009, Metallica was the first band that ever inspired me to pursue music. I immediately fell in love with a combination of the classics (Kill through Black) and also with Load and Death Magnetic in particular. I remember starting off on drums and the main thing I noticed about Lars was his Black album through Reload straightforward backbeat drum style. Say what you will about the dudes skills, but 1991-2001 the guy had that feel and groove down. That's what inspired me to play drums, the classic material like Ride The Lighting and Master Of Puppets really motivated me to progress as far as metal drumming went. I owe it all to Lars and Metallica, I wouldn't be doing what I am now if it wasn't for them.

Definitely NOT the worst song from METALLICA...It fit the time when it came out and showed the band could easily ride the storm of Nu-Metal...One of their greatest triumphs in my opinion...And the video was killer!!...
