ammie lake remember it was not the Repulicans that took God out of their platform and had to vote three times to get Him put back in it. BTW it wa a Republican Congress that worked with a Democrat President to get the 1963 equal rights bill passed. The President couldn’t garner enough votes from his own party. Some of the comments on here make it abundantly clear that one cannot be both a christian AND a conservative. They're letting their political ideology dictate their interpretation of Jesus and morality rather than the other way around.

And this is what JC meant when he said that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.Basically the lesson we learned is that if you become wealthy and neglect those in need then you have condemned yourself.Incidentally, the first Christian community was a communist society.

What would cause you to make a statement like that? Is it a bad thing to be rich?What defines rich? If you start a small business & become good @ it, then in 10 yrs you make some good profits. 20 years later you make lots of profit. Now are the one we need to fight?Are you the bad person, simply because you worked your butt off & made it? You might want to rethink your opinion on "rich".
