I was trying to find the song (its name) that the Mentals filmed the film clip for on the Barragoola (in the mid 80's) (this ferry was docked in the middle of Rozelle Bay)

Fuck I miss home. Still, enough drinks, bongs and cuddles with me dog and the expat blues dissolve into an exploitation of currency difference and happiness. So. There.

They were not Australia's version of Madness. They were just Mental As Anything. Whilst I understand the comparison from those who look at both bands on the surface, the truth is that Mental As Anything were a combination of Australian humour, Australiana and art-school. They were not a ska-pop band that taken cues from Ian Dury's early career. Plus, the name Mental As Anything was an popular Australian phrase at the time and had been used in the band since its formation in 1976.

Good to see they're appreciated. Mental As Anything have pulled almost all their videos off youtube, and are only making their videos available on Itunes. The Mental As Anything videos you see on youtube is only a quarter of the videos they had produced in the 1980's.

I've been watching music videos of this fabulous band now for hours, not going to pretend I know them well, but concluding one thing; this band must be Nr 1 in having fun together and being original, and that's worth a lot of respect, wish I could have a drink, no, a lot of drinks with these guys!

YouTube have blocked that Little Heroes song from being viewed in the UK and US. It sort of defeats the purpose of youtube, but the 'law' is the law...pathetic as it is.
