Boy, she has such good potential and clearly wants to feel the song. Don't think she achieved what she probably was striving to reach. This version does not seem to capture the vulnerableness and tender sentiment that Mitchel's version offers. I don't get any vulnerability from this version. Rather, this version seems pushed, and over-acted and "felt". I tried to listen without watching the video (as the video of all her hand movements and expression did not add to the song but were a distraction and came across as a little too self-important, which is the opposite of the song's intention, to me. Even listening alone I felt up and down repeatedly and it wasn't tender anymore. Surprised by so many people that seemed to think this was a good version. To each his/her own, but for me, i found this version less than not more than.

Mel, no. Your voice does not relay the sadness or transparency of clouds... Too much uncontrolled vibrato. Clouds are slow, gentle but strong. This is not a song for you, but good to see you appreciate beauty :)
