It's bebop, noobs. In bebop, the tempo gets to a certain point where the triplet division becomes impossible/unnecessary giving way to mostly fast eighth notes.

Isn't he playing 16th note swing instead of 8th note triplet swing?

That`s so gay that you guys have to cover the kit so that Thomas` endorsers don`t see it. Comon.. every drummer on the internet with access to youtube know that it`s the good old orange Yamaha..

It was up tempo yes, but in straight time I feel like. I heard lots of straight 16ths in there. Just have the hats on the upbeats doesn't arbitrarily make something swing.

but thats not swing? just because he started playing a jazz pattern in the ride doesn't make it swing

great technique but zero swing.

no.... no it's not..... lol just because you can crash on it, it is not automatically a "crash ride." it's just a very thin ride. Generally the thinner the cymbal, the better the crash sound. a crash ride is generally a smaller cymbal, and normally doesnt sound definitively like a crash, or a ride. in some cases, they have different lathing and/or hammering in different spots on the cymbal to sound decent when used in either role. also a crash ride is generally smaller than 20".
