To Mathews parents. You may or may not remember me but I met you on holiday a we years ago with my mum Nicky. You gave us a CD and I just wanted to Thankyou again for introducing him to me. It has been a inspiration and he is one of the most talented musicians I know.

Just found out about Matthew Jay today when I was discussing Nick Drake and Elliott Smith and I have played "Please Don't Send Me Away" at least twenty times today after I discovered it. Such a good musician and so sad to hear about his early death. At least I know I found someone I will be listening until my death.

I have to say Matthew jay has inspired me during my journey of recording my debut album when my producer put Matthews album draw on it was like a berth of fresh air ,such a shame about his sudden death but his music will live on in every other musician like myself that truly enjoyed him

There have been a number of singles, EPS and albums released to date. Very limited quantities were originally produced back in the early 00s but thankfully, due to these days in which we live, his music is accessible forever via itunes. You may not be aware of just how much wonderful material by Matthew is available to listen to and buy. If you're a fan but have only heard one or two tracks, or only own one album, I recommend you to listen a little more. : )
