In October 1970, less that 6 months after the Hollies had left the charts, someone on Sydney radio decided to start playing Matt's version of "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother".

As a result, it actually struggled into the Sydney charts...reaching # 45, and staying around for a month.

The song was actually the flipside of a Capitol 45, CP9221.

The A. side, which failed to chart, was "We're Gonna Change The World".

The track also appeared on Matt's 1970 Capitol LP, "Close To You".

I actually think Matt does an excellent job of this song...so smooth, and easy on the ears...as you'd expect!
