No point singing for the hereafter when you're in the herenow with the rest of us. yea i havent been following him, but i'm glad that he found the courage to change and be open about it. it must not be easy to break away from judaism. however, i was under the impression that this particular song was from his "religious period"

i dont understand how matisyahu is not an atheist.. strongly unreligious myself, this song speaks to me and i agree with its message. life is in the here, not to be redeemed in the hereafter. this here and now is all we have, that tiny moment in time. very carl sagan-ny.
