It is really sad. So sad it makes me want to cry. I am a 14 year old boy in high school, and my dad showed me this music. It is so much better and has such a stronger message than todays music, but when I try to tell my friends at school about it they make fun of me and prefer the "rap" nowadays. I just wish there were other kids like me. Such good music );

When I was a kid, my mother had every record or album by Marty and played them endlessly at our home. I love to hear his cowboy songs and even to this day, this is one of my favorites. It reminds me of him as well as my mother and that is a very good set of memories to have at my age. I'd love to see someone in Hollywood make a whole set of vignettes of his ballads and turn them into a great western movie. Each had a moral to them and that is much better than the stupidity of the music kids hear and learn from today. Some actually bring a tear to the eye and some are just so captivating that you see the story right in your mind as Marty sings his ballads.

Wish I grew up in the era when these songs first aired over the airways. Great tune. These songs were always filled with passion, had the story along with that timeless voice I first heard this song whilst in Philadelphia for the first time whilst on holidays from Australia a couple of months ago in an Italian deli in Little Italy being played in the background.
