@spacitydrummer4JC most shitty pop rock bands actually have really talented musicians. when ur a major label putting together a totally contrived band like nickleback, why hire mediocre musicians? its kinda sad really what they make of these talented musicians, but i don't blame the musicians...i'd probably do the same thing if i were in their position lol

@stlespaul1 Congrats...Dave's got what technique (and tone) I want but I think I could get there if I would just put in the time.

@muzikscud23 Agreed.

@PoeticJustice05 Sometimes the further you venture into technicalities, the further you step away from aesthetics. Drummers can all play the same beat but it's the way they play them that separates themselves

where do you see him being tense at all? He's got a very relaxed picking hand and his left hand doesn't seem to be having any trouble at all the way he frets everything perfectly. Plus, he's smiling and laughing when he plays guitar -- i don't think you could be any less tense then this guy.

i loved dan adairs style of drummin on the "A Demon's Dream" cd, very creative!

PoeticJustice05 .

ps. why would anybody crying for creativity be a Travis Barker fan??????

PoeticJustice05 .

My man, I'm anything BUT a Travis Barker fan. I'm a Danny Carey Fan, a Gavin Harrison fan, a Carter Beauford fan, a Dennis Chambers fan, a Jojo Mayer fan; you know, ORIGINAL drummers. The beat is generic, and played out, it's not the best beat he could make, or maybe it is. Point is, the beat is not original, nothing he does is original, therefore, he isn't original. Sure, he's a competent drummer, but that's about it. I aspire towards those virtuosos.
