These guys are/ were really great...it was so hard in those days to get started this song captures much of that......there were some really musical folk ....someone should do research on the Irish Showband origins development etc...it deserves it's place in our musical heritage.

Just love this man and his song, I worked for many a year in the Middle East, thank God i was at home in the Glens when the Declans Auntie died in my wee village, we have gone down to Longford and fair dues to Declan he has mentioned his aunties time in Antrim on the headstone, God bless u Declan, and God bless ur late Aunt Evlyn........
