My dad took his life on Dec.19th 1994 (I was only 7) I wish I had this song 21 years ago when my Christmases were FOREVER changed. As if that wasn't hard enough I lost my son my 1st and only child at 23 days old on March 14th 2010 from complications from CDH (Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia) so now not only do I have to deal with all that comes with this holiday and my dads death but now I have to "celebrate" it without my son too. Oh and a dear cousin of my who died in a car crash in 2005 happens to have the same birthday as the day we found out my dad died (Dec.23rd) so I have that too.For me I feel like this time of year is just marked with death and pain and loss and I have come to hate this whole time of year so bad my family calls me the "family Grinch" and the "family Scrooge" and I take those names with pride. R.I.P. Daddy R.I.P. My son Jayden R.I.P. Cousin Dustin! and THANK YOU Mark Schultz for making this song!!

This is the first Christmas w/out my husband of 13 years. My little girl lost her Daddy to a heart attack 5 days before her 13 yr. Birthday so we are missing him so bad, and this will be "a different kind of Christmas this year" for sure. I miss Ike so much more and more everyday . How do we do this?
