The Blacklist brought me here! Season 2 ep 7, 'The Scimitar'...This song with its throbbing beat and this guys voice...Perfect!! You know it's building up to something. Lizzy and ex husband, Lizzy and Tom, Lizzy and other agent ( who executed the assassin), and Red, Berlin and Jennifer..... This is how music and acting should match up! just an fyi, this song IS about heroin. iron lung speaks of how his body is completely in a state of euphoric non-movement. his breathing slows and its takes his breath away and all that junk, and the muddy water... well you'd get that if you ever saw heroin pre-injection. and hes talking about the gun in the second verse. sorry for all you marijuana fans out there. anyways: WHO CARES, no matter what drug, its amazing music.
