Have listened to all three versions and Marios is the best in my opinion, and Nelson Eddys is lovely. And yes why compare, all versions are beautiful in their own wat.

No offence intended. But Mr. Robeson's version was much more heart rendering than this one. I think the note at 0:55 and 0:56 was a bit loose. Mr. Robeson's version was just perfect. I don't know why but I don't seem to like this version. There is something missing in this which I can't describe.

Looking out my window at the trees blowing in the 35 mph winds and listening to this beautiful song. It is amazing how trees can live hundreds of years and withstand all kinds of weather. Mario Lanza has a beautiful voice. Thank you for posting this.
